What we can evidence today, and what we cannot.
Nexus is a new firm. We have worked models, a documented method and a founder with thirty years in business, fifteen of them in mining. We do not yet have named case studies, and we will not imply otherwise.
No client logos on this page. On purpose.
Plenty of firms show anonymised case studies with numbers you cannot check. We would rather show nothing than that. Below are worked sector models with illustrative figures, labelled as such. When the first founding-client engagements finish, this page fills with named, measured results, and you will be able to ring the client.
Worked sector models.
Built to show the analysis, not to represent a client. Figures are illustrative.
Metal fabrication: lead-time breakdown
A quote-to-dispatch value stream split into its eleven steps, with queue time separated from process time. The model shows where a typical fabricator's twenty-four-day cycle goes, and which three steps carry most of the delay.
Illustrative model. Not a client engagement.
Mining services: fleet availability and cost-to-serve
Availability modelled against maintenance regime, hire substitution cost and contract penalty exposure, by asset class. Shows what one point of availability is worth against a typical tier-one contract.
Illustrative model. Not a client engagement.
What every case study will contain.
The standard, published before we have met it. Four sections, in this order, so two case studies can be compared rather than admired.
Challenge
What the business came to us with, in the MD's words, and the number that was wrong. Written before we knew the answer.
Approach
Which phases ran, over what period, who was involved on the client side, and what it cost. Real dates, the actual fee.
Result
Baseline and outturn, measured the same way, with the method stated. Where a number moved for other reasons, we say so.
The client's own words
A quote they wrote, not one we drafted for approval, and their agreement to take a reference call.
Consent to publish is agreed in writing before the engagement starts, separately from the engagement. Declining changes nothing about the work or the fee.
Meanwhile, check the founder.
Thirty years in business: ten in manufacturing, fifteen in mining, in COO, CFO and Head of Strategy roles. Chartered Accountant, Chartered Secretary, Six Sigma, Lead ISO Auditor. A reference check on the founder is available on request, even though one on the firm is not yet.
